Shakthi Trading Company incorporated in 1948 is an authorized distributor for Kirloskar Industrial Engines, Pumps, Diesel Generators, Related Spares, Oil & Grease.

Our History
1947
Incorporated Shankar Trading Company under registrar of firms
1949
Started doing business as a Sub dealer for Kirloskar Engines under distributor, EID Parry
1964
With the exit of EID Parry from Oil Engine business, we were awarded direct distributorship for Kirloskar Products.
1965
Opened branch offices at Trichy & Namakkal. Started service centre at Teynampet, Chennai equipped with facilities for servicing and overhauling of engines upto 133 HP.
1972
Replacing/Re-powering scheme for Mahindra Jeep & Amabassador cars with Kirloskar make RET4, RE1800 Engines respectively to Motor Vehicle and Maintenance Organization, Guindy.
1975
Achieved sale of 5000 engines within a span of 9 years.
1976
Opened branch office at Andaman & Nicobar Islands for sale of Kirloskar Pumps, Motors and Engines.
1990
Started a new company PEEYES Power Engineering Works for participating in government tenders for sale of generators.
1996
Disassociated from Shankar Trading Company leading to starting of SHAKTHI TRADING COMPANY, a proprietorship firm with a clear motive to bring all dealerships & business verticals under one banner .
1998
Completed supply of 300 numbers DG to BSNL Towers across Tamil Nadu.
2007
Supplied 1000 nos 5hp Agri Pumpset to Andaman & Nicobar Islands to Andaman Agriculture and Horticulture Department under TSUNAMI rehabilitation scheme.
2015
Supplied Trolley mounted Electrical/Diesel driven De-Watering pumpset - 50nos to Corporation of Chennai, during Chennai Floods.
2018
Supplied Special MOC clear water pumps worth 10L to Koodankulam Nuclear Plant. Supplied 14L value De-Watering pumps to TCS. Awarded Silver Dealer of the year ,Kirloskar Brothers Limited for outstanding performance in Pumps Business.
